Food and drink play an important role in developing cohesion within our Boundless Life communities. From our ‘Cooking with the Crew’ experiences (where families get the opportunity to prepare local speciality dishes before sitting down to enjoy the fruits of their collective labour together) to ‘Mom’s Lunches’ or a diverse ‘potluck lunch’ as part of a surprise birthday party.
Our existing locations - in Portugal, Greece and Italy - have provided ample opportunities to sample all the dishes one might commonly associate with these culinary hotspots. But what about Bali? What will Boundless Life’s base in Sanur have in store for those hoping for a taste of Indeonesia?
I think the keywords here are ‘diversity’ and ‘ambience’. You can expect a tasty blend of longstanding eateries run by locals (like Nasi Campur, Lawar and Babi Guling) alongside more international culinary experiences. The Sindhu Night Market (Pasar Malam) hosts colourful food stalls, popular with locals and tourists alike, and is one of the must-do experiences in Bali.
In terms of the setting, Sanur delivers a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds. Seafront restaurants, cafes and beach clubs will delight those seeking stunning sunset views as the backdrop for their meal times.
Let’s take a quick culinary tour of some of the highlights:
Layang Layang
Layang Layang translates to ‘kite’ in Bahasa and lives up to its name as the beautiful open-air setting captures the gentle sea breezes circulating through the indigenous wood panelling, tropical gardens and water features. You will find the restaurant within the InterContinental Bali Sanur resort and can expect high-quality Balinese cuisine.
The Village Cucina Italiana
No, we haven’t suddenly transported ourselves to Boundless Life Tuscany! This fantastic restaurant is, in fact, in Sanur. This iconic restaurant is popular with tourists who flock there to enjoy great Italian cusine, wine, and conversation.
Guests can choose between a smart indoor environment or dine alfresco on the terrace under the shade of a canopy of trees.
Massimo Italian Restaurant
If you need a walk along the beach to make room for dessert, don’t worry! Pop to Massimo’s for traditional Italian gelato in a shady spot.
Naga Eight Chinese Restaurant
Continuing the international theme, Naga Eight is the place to go if you are craving a taste of the orient. Guests can expect delectable Cantonese BBQ and wok-based favourites made with high-quality local vegetables in the open-air restaurant’s natural light. Naga Eight’s large dining space is ideal to get all your Boundless Life friends together for the evening!
Gong Restuarant
A true sensory experience, Gong offers upmarket Balinese cuisine underpinned by market-fresh ingredients and seasonal delicacies.
Your setting is a traditional pavilion building within a lush garden framed by trees and tropical plants. You can expect a service that is second to none.
