When Boundless Life’s CEO, Mauro Repacci met Digital Nomad pioneer, Patrizio “Pat” Ambrosetti, it became clear that their paths were destined to converge. We invited Pat to share his own story with Boundless Life families and Crew alike at our Coworking Hub in Pistoia, Tuscany. We should have installed seat belts on the chairs, because we were all about to depart on a wild ride!
Picture the scene: it’s a ‘post-carb-fest-lunch’ time slot in a cosy room with low lighting. AKA a high jeopardy scenario for all presenters. Well, nearly all. Cue Pat!
Pat - or ‘Rover Pat’ as he has become fondly known - is pure energy in human form. He grabs your attention from the second he starts talking. From there, you’re hurtling through often hilarious anecdotes about his life at breakneck speed. Afterall, he has a lot to cover in a 1-hour slot.
A New York educated Italian, Pat started out as a competitive Alpine skier and entrepreneur in the music event industry. From there, he went on to successfully launch Uber in Italy, navigating the juxtaposition of Italian bureaucracy with the ‘wild west’ nature of a fast-growing start-up. He went on to spearhead the global expansion of WeWork (at a time when coworking spaces were seriously niche) before repeating this success for lifestyle, travel and hospitality platform, Selina. If this all didn’t keep him busy enough, Pat has also advised governments on the implementation of Digital Nomad Visas - including the ‘Welcome Stamp’ visa introduced in Barbados.
Nowadays, he is advising, building and investing in companies that are shaping the present and future of “Travel, Live, Work & Connect”. Companies like Boundless Life.

Pat is a pioneer of the Digital Nomad movement. He discovered the lifestyle back in 2015 before the term was part of our vocabulary. He happily divides his time between four continents with just a carry-on suitcase.
His affinity with Boundless Life is clear and we are thrilled to have him as an advisor. Pat openly admits that when he has discussed the Digital Nomad lifestyle with families with school-aged children in the past, it has been with a degree of apprehension. His passion for the revolution was somewhat undermined by doubts around the logistics of how this would work for them in practice. These are the same doubts and road-blocks our families were encountering. Then they - and Pat - discovered Boundless Life and, suddenly, the revolution was family-friendly!
