Forget the regular tourist traps and overpriced gelato – the heart of Tuscany beckons with a hidden gem: Pistoia. This charming medieval town, nestled between rolling hills and olive groves, comes alive in spring, offering a magical escape for families seeking adventure, cultural immersion, and delicious delights.
🌷 Spring's Blossoming Beauty
Pistoia is painted in a vibrant palette of green as the sun awakens the Tuscan countryside. Pack a picnic basket and find a sunny spot amidst the ancient trees, by the riverside, or venture slightly further afield to the beautiful ‘Circolo ARCI Prato al Lago’ park and gardens.
🏰 Medieval Masterpieces
Step back in time at the Piazza del Duomo, a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture. Marvel at the Leaning Tower, a smaller but equally fascinating cousin of Pisa's famous tower, and take in the intricate details of the Baptistery of San Giovanni Battista. Don't forget to pose for a family photo under the majestic bronze statue of Grifone, Pistoia's mythical protector.

💬 A final thought from our General Manager in Tuscany
“In fact, some have noticed that the Tuscans' one true passion is food. Quite an unfair observation, given that we also developed a deep interest in winemaking and keeping memories of the past alive!
But where our heart truly beats is the peaceful, quiet, well-cultivated land - because all Tuscans have a love for things that grow slowly. Ah, yes, no doubt our ways appear quaint to others…But today more than ever I am adamant that it is not a bad thing to celebrate a peaceful and simple life.”
