Everyday Bookworms: Why it’s always a celebration of reading with Boundless Education

The Boundless Life crew is inspired daily by the stories and images that come out of our Education Centres: older children taking pride and pleasure in supporting their younger peers, big smiles on regular field trips, and discovering a new skill from one of our parents during special ‘Endeavour Time’ sessions. Some of the most endearing images are of our Explorers taking a quiet moment to enjoy a good book in their favourite spot!

23rd April 2023 is World Book Day! With the mission of promoting reading for pleasure, World Book Day was created by UNESCO in 1995 as a worldwide celebration of books and reading. World Book Day is now marked in over 100 countries around the globe. All of our Boundless Education Centres will be marking the day but, to be honest, reading for pleasure is something that is celebrated every day!

Time and space to enjoy reading

Time is set aside daily for some quiet reading. It’s fantastic to see our littlest Explorers snuggle together in a corner to share some picture books and short stories. Our older Explorers will seek out their favourite nook to pick up where they left in their chapter books and novels. Our libraries are exceptionally well-stocked with a huge range of books for all ages to select and enjoy.

Our Education Centres are blessed with wonderful outdoor spaces that can also be used for reading alfresco whether this is surrounded by the green of the valley that holds our Sintra Education Centre at its heart, or in the gentle cooling breezes of the Aegean Sea in Syros.

Reading at home

One of the questions that we get asked a lot by families coming to join one of our Boundless Life locations is ‘Should I bring books and games for our children?’. Those with half an eye on their baggage allowance will be relieved to hear that we have a lending library in all of our Education Centres. This is always very popular. Board and card games are also lent out!

Do you have a budding bookworm who would love the opportunity to continue their exploration of reading whilst simultaneously exploring the world? Hop on a call with us to learn more.

At Boundless Life, we create thoughtfully designed communities in beautiful destinations worldwide. Each community includes private homes, co-working spaces, and an experiential learning-based education system, providing like-minded families with opportunities to connect, work, explore, and immerse themselves in local cultures.
