Don’t Survive the Winter - Thrive Instead! Why a Boundless Life Jan-Mar Cohort Is the BEST Start to Your Year

If you are looking to shake things up next year there’s no need to wait for spring to arrive. Hit the ground running in January and start the year off in a whole new world. We caught up with Steve who took the plunge to do just this in January 2024. His experience altered his perspective. Maybe it will alter yours too?

Hi, Steve! Thanks so much for chatting with us. We are thrilled that your family had such a fulfilling stay in Tuscany. What were some of the unique benefits of our Jan-March cohort?

The winter cohorts are usually smaller than the Fall/Spring cohorts, so the group felt more intimate. We made close connections with every family and person there. Climate-wise, we came from the Northeast US where the winter weather is not ideal, so Tuscany provided a lovely setting in which to spend the winter and early spring months.

What’s the one word you'd use to describe your overall experience?

Perspective-Altering

[Kat: OK, one word per parent 😜]

What did your kids love most about their Boundless experience?

Gelato, meeting new friends, walking everywhere, exploring the town of Pistoia, and playing at the parks after we picked the kids up from the Education Centre. The parks are really exceptional spaces designed with the whole family in mind.

What were the cohort's highlights?

Some of the highlights were in the ordinary, everyday things. Dropping the kids off and walking for a coffee and a chat with other parents. Meeting families at the Education Centre at pick-up and having play-dates and drinks or dinner. Meeting other like-minded families was a real highlight for us.

What’s one unexpected benefit your family came away with?

The realisation that we could do this! We could live in Europe more permanently and feel comfortable finding or building community and a life there.

What's one piece of advice you'd give a family on the fence about the Jan-March cohort?

If you're in the US in particular (especially in a poor winter climate area), do it! Just do it - you won't regret it. Not just for Jan-Mar too. I tell people that there is nothing more impactful for yourself or your kids than doing a Boundless Life cohort. Forget soccer, piano lessons, etc. - there is nothing you can give your family that will be more transformational than a Boundless experience.

Thank you again to Steve for sharing his family’s experience with our community. If you would like to spend three months in Tuscany - or any of our other locations - at a surprisingly rewarding time of year, get in touch!

At Boundless Life we build a collection of thoughtfully designed communities located in beautiful destinations around the world comprised of private homes, co-working spaces, a education system based on experiential learning and locally adapted recreational hubs where like-minded families can develop connections, work, sustainably explore different parts of the world and be immersed in the local cultures.
