Comparing Notes Part 2: How Does Boundless Education Differ From Worldschooling?

Boundless Education has the world-renowned Finnish education system at its core, but we have also sprinkled it with our own special sauce to produce a cohesive alternative education programme to inspire our future leaders. But how does Boundless Education compare with other teaching methods and settings?

In the second part of our series, we take a look at how Boundless Education compares with worldschooling. If you’d like to read Part 1, which considers Boundless Education vs. Traditional education settings, please click here.

We are not suggesting that there is a ‘right and wrong way’ to approach education. Every child is different and education is not a “one size fits all'' deal. The beauty of Boundless Education is that it can be complementary to other educational methods at a frequency to suit you and your children! We have provided some information here to help you find your perfect

blend.

What is worldschooling?

As ‘worldschooling’ is a relatively new term, we’ll start with a quick explanation:

Worldschooling is an approach to education in which children learn through travel and exploration. Worldschooling aims to provide children with a well-rounded education that exposes them to different cultures, languages, and experiences.

Some families travel full-time, while others take shorter trips throughout the year. Some families use online resources and curriculums, while others rely on hands-on learning experiences. Many leverage a mixture of both of these methods.

There is a lot more commonality between the values and benefits of Boundless Education and worldschooling than traditional education settings as you will see. The benefits of travel to child development and learning are universal!

It's important to note that the effectiveness of an education approach depends on various factors, including the needs and preferences of individual children, any local educational regulations, and the resources available to implement each method. To make an informed decision, it's crucial to consider the specific details and evidence supporting any education approach. To learn more about Boundless Education’s specific approach you can download our Education Brochure.

“Boundless Education is a transformational learning system that lays the foundation for innovation, maximises experiential learning, and creates meaningful connections to ourselves, our communities and the world.”
